You're looking for the GOP size settings. Minimum / Maximum = min/max amount of frames till the next keyframe, so setting Max to 1 will give you only keyframes. The file size will be really large, though While Avidemux uses built-in libavcodec from FFmpeg for H.264 decoding, it needs an additional (external) library for H.264 encoding. Therefore Avidemux uses x264. x264 is a free library for encoding H.264/AVC video streams. The code is written from scratch by Laurent Aimar, Loren Merritt, Eric Petit (OS X), Min Chen (VfW/asm), Justin Clay (VfW), Måns Rullgård, Radek Czyz, Christian. It depends. In old videos with low fps, like an MPEG2 video in 15fps, it could be 8/16, while modern video with high fps will have a larger GOP, like an MPEG4-AVC video might with GOP size > 30/60 The output video had 20 seconds I-frame interval though. Shouldn't this be 1000 frames max gop size? Then i encoded the same video with 250/25 gop size and it resulted in a 10 sec I-frame interval (checked with avidemux). So, is 250/25 always 10 seconds I-frame interval independent of source video fps or is it a bug? MeGUI v2192 x264 v221

Other programs and services might call the interval the GOP size or GOP length, going back to the Group of Pictures abbreviation. Choosing a keyframe interval at the encoder leve Internally because of the way H.264 works, you can trim trailing P/B frames from a GOP, but if you trim out an I frame, you will need to trim out the entire GOP. Avidemux warns you of this. If you needed an exact trim and it fell mid-GOP you might need to make two clips (with a re-encoding of only the first one) and then join them in Avidemux In Avidemux, obtained by using Copy and holding down the Paste key combination (Ctrl-V) until the desired length was reached.) Suggestions for improving quality with H.264 settings. When choosing a bitrate for your video, a good starting point is to set a variable bitrate equal to the pixel-width of the video. For example, the bitrate 640×480 SD would be 640 kbps, and 1280×720 HD would be set at 1280 kbps. Video that contains extensive action scenes may require a. Anyway -x264opts bframes=0:keyint_min=250 would force the minimum GOP size to 250 frames, and disallow use of B frames. keyint sets the max GOP size. (By default, x264 does scenecut detection for placing I frames, so if you want I frames at scenecuts, you might do well to leave it as-is.

The encoding guidelines, are all stuff that's on by default in avidemux. Except the GOP of half the framerate, which makes no sense anyway, and is a horrible idea. They're going to xcode the whole video anyway, so using a 1/2 second GOP size is just going to hurt compression. Same for only 2 b frames . We recently noticed some strange behavior while trying to change gop length. Whatever we create the encoder with essentially becomes the max gop length. For example, starting out with a gop length of 50 for a 250 frame video gives us 5 I-frames as expected. Changing gop length [by calling NvEncReconfigureEncoder()] to 25 then gives us 10 I-frames.

I use Avidemux to convert to mpeg4ff (or xvid4), applying gop size=12, to get an interval of about 0.5 sek, so that I can edit. The audio I export for editing with Audacity, importing it back to Avidemux and then saving the video after final edit, usually as H264 (2 pass) / mp3 avi. View Video 3½ min: Recording sub for Pi The proposed scheme can be applied to detect double H.264 compression with non-aligned GOP structures. For each frame of a given video, the prediction residual is first calculated and the average. Getting info about the GOP structure would be a bonus. AVIdemux identifies the frame types, but you must note them one at a time (sigh!). When concatenating files, I often find the need to recode them to ensure identical parameters. The resolution and DAR are easily determined, but other info, like the GOP size, is a challenge On 2.7.1. click on the on the Frames tab and under B-frames change Maximum Consecutive B-frames to 0 , and under I-frames change GOP- Size Minimum to 0 and Maximum to 999. On 2.5.4. Select the Frame tab and then change the Maximum I-frame Interval from 300 to 99999999 then click OK. So then i save the video

By the way, if anyone is after a cut/join program to remove unwanted parts of a video without re-encoding the whole thing (ie. fast, same file size and unchanged video quality) I found Avidemux (free) only works on whole frames (GOP?) and the joins can have a little 'flick', whereas for $40-$50 a program like Fame Ring Smart Cutter for MTS. Video files must conform to MPEG specifications allowed by the DVD format. This means you can ONLY use MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 files that meet the specifications, not AVI or Divx or whatever else non-MPEG files you may have. And even then, the MPEG must have an allowed resolution, bit-rate, GOP size and sequences headers as required I am sure there are a lot of warnings there. Because it looks like you force frames types somehow (only first frame is I-frame and others are P-frames) and so violates GOP size (--keyint 3) you set and there should be warning about that. - nobody555 Feb 19 '13 at 18:52 Avidemux là phần mềm cắt video miễn phí được thiết kế để cắt, lọc và mã hóa đơn giản.
